"Recently my wife was tired of the clutter in the small closet under our stairs. You could not really get into it the way things were tossed in there, and some items were just shoved into the back. She fixed it up, and it was finally usable, and you could even move around in it. But the downside was that the back of the closet was SO DARK. It was like a cave.The problem with adding a light in there was that there are no outlets, no wiring, no electricity. So I knew a battery-based light was needed. I gave this item a try, and despite its small size it does a great job of lighting up the back of the closet. I posted pictures showing how dark the back of the closet is with the light off, and how well it lights up the back.This light is pretty handy. It is magnetic, with a strong magnet, and comes with a large sticker you can attach to any surface that the magnet will stick to. You can also attach the light to any metal surface if you have that. The light charges using a standard USB-C connection, and these days many devices use that kind of connection. The light came with a charging cable, but I already have plenty of USB-C chargers around (for my earpods, tablet, and many other devices) so I didn't even really need it. If the light gets dim, I can just pull it off (remember it's magnetic), plug it in for a while, and put it back.The light comes with motion-sensing capabilities, but we didn't really want or need that function. We use the closet all day long (it has our kitchen trash and recycling bin in it and some other things we access all day) but we don't go into the back of the closet itself often. So we don't need the light to turn on every time we go in there. But luckily, it comes with a remote, so with a click of a button it lights up the back when we need it.The remote also lets you set the brightness level and the WARMTH. That bit was a surprise. You can set it for bright cold white light, or soft warm yellow (almost candle) light, or put it in-between.It's exactly what we needed. It's hard to tell from the photos, but the back of the closet is pretty deep and I was skeptical that it would light it adequately, but it really does work well. I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants a versatile light to use in an awkward place."

"if planning to use under cabinets, you would definitely need multiples. The light itself has a magnet to be removed for charging and then you put back on the plate magnetically. I love the remote and all the different color options. We used it to set the time inside a lit Jack O'Lantern so that it automatically shuts itself off. For that scenario, it's PERFECT!!"
